Again, my personally belief is that the scores are being a bit too harsh on the game, given my playtime with it, but I’m just one critic against the tide on this one. Here’s how the other mainline games scored in the past:Įven the DLCs like Re-Elected (765) and Gat out of Hell (64) are hitting better numbers overall than the Saints Row reboot. This is also the worst scoring Saints Row game in the franchise by quite a wide margin. A 30% scoring movie on Rotten Tomatoes may still hit #1 on Netflix or at the box office, but a 30/100 game on Metacritic is a dumpster fire no one will touch. While movies and TV shows can be hits despite low scores on places like Metacritic or Rotten Tomatoes, in the video game realm, game success is usually more closely linked to scores, and a badly scoring game has a much greater chance to do worse compared to higher scoring counterparts.
